POLICY PRIORITIES
Policy is and will remain the main focus of CEPI in the coming years and it will receive priority attention. Attention is paid to all areas which may impact upon the activities of real estate professionals.
Real estate is not a matter of EU competence but it is increasingly clear that there are a number of issues dealt with by the EU regulator which impact on the real estate market. Professional regulation also remains a matter for the EU Member States but again actions taken at EU level are having an effect on the level and content of regulation in different countries which is important for professional services.
For these reasons CEPI deals with a wide range of policy topics, but the most important policy priorities for CEPI are the Internal Market (including professional qualifications and services), energy and the environment, and the rules against anti-money laundering. It also takes an interest in consumer affairs and commercial issues such as taxation and insurance.
